Mary is a fourth generation Georgetown native.  She has been married 35 years to her husband Andres and they have six children, five of whom graduated from Georgetown High School and one was was in the first class to graduate from East View High School.  Go Eagles! Go Patriots!

Mary enjoys volunteering at church and in the community and going on local outings with family and friends.  She loves to take her grandchildren to the park or to just sit out on the patio.  She putters in her garden and on cool evenings, she and Andres can often be found sitting on the Square after the crowds have gone home.

Mary wants to encourage and inspire people to get involved, to voice concerns and offer possible solutions.  She hopes to offer a space where people can talk about managed growth, transportation, housing and economic development,  to keep Georgetown the wonderful community that drew us here and/ or kept us here.

She seeks to demonstrate that we can work together with and for our community, even though we are of different races and ethnicity, come from varied backgrounds and hold different beliefs.  She believes we are more than our political affiliations, we are people first.

Most importantly she pledges to represent District 1 and the residents of Georgetown to the best of her ability by focusing on Georgetown’s mission statement of being a caring community that honors our past and innovates for the future.
